I used silver-filled wire to wrap this topaz stone that I acquired on my adventure to Sedona, Arizona.
She hangs on an 18" silver-filled chain.
The piece can be treated and cleaned just as you would an silver or sterling silver jewelry. It is durable and will not flake off.
