Description
This gemstone pendant is made using bare copper wire. It has been treated and polished for an antique look.
It hangs on a long 22" pure copper ball chain with a ball clasp. If you prefer a shorter chain you can send me a message and I'll shorten it to whatever length you like.
The top gemstone is green aventurine. I'm unsure about the bottom two I bought them at a trading post on the side of the road during a road trip in Arizona. They are similiar looking to tigers eye.
My pieces have stories and adventures behind them. I love working with stones- their stories could be millions of years old before they became part of my story and now they are part of yours.
The series this pendant is a part of is called Cairns. Rock cairns are stacks of rocks that can be seen marking hiking trails. Rock stacking has carried spiritual meaning across cultures for centuries. The act of balancing stones carries with it a practice of patience and a physical effort of creating balance.
In a sense I'm still trying to find balance with these pendants. How do the stones work with one another? How do they need to be wrapped functionally and aesthetically? Its intention and patience and it is my version of a wearable cairn.
Each order comes nicely packaged for gift giving- even if you are gift giving yourself :)
